NUXE's history is intricately entwined with that of its founder, Aliza Jabès, a
pioneer in natural cosmetics. Immersed in the world of plants from an early age
by her pharmacist father, she was fascinated by their scents and benefits for skin health.

In the early 90s, she decided to buy a small Parisian natural cosmetology formulation laboratory. From the outset, this visionary entrepreneur focused on R&D and surrounded herself with a team of expert researchers at the cutting edge of botany, formulation and galenics, which led to the creation of NUXE.

As a young entrepreneur and new mother, Aliza Jabès dreamt of a natural all-round skin care product that would meet all her daily beauty needs in a single step. She imagined a multi-purpose oil that could be applied quickly and easily. With her R&D team, she developed Huile Prodigieuse®, with 100% plant oils and a dry feel that nourishes, repairs and beautifies the face, body and hair.

The only one of its kind, it opens the way to natural beauty treatments and revolutionises the traditional pharmacy with its poetic name, inimitable dry texture, sun-kissed fragrance and chic glass bottle.

1991

l’Huile Prodigieuse®

Clean⁽¹⁾ and vegan⁽²⁾ before its time, with its exquisite plant-based formula, Huile Prodigieuse® is an extremely sensorial, multi-purpose dry oil that was an instant hit when it was launched in pharmacies: it quickly became an iconic product. Today, it's the number 1 oil in France and many other countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium ⁽⁴⁾, with one sold every 7 seconds⁽⁵⁾ worldwide.

1994

rêve de miel® honey lip balm

While Aliza Jabès was expecting her second child, she created a delicious honey-based balm. A dosing error in the first trails resulted in a very thick texture, but it proved to be extremely effective in healing the lips! Kept as it was, Rêve de miel lip balm also became a legendary product of in French pharmacies: one is sold every minute worldwide⁽⁶⁾

1999

crème fraiche de beauté

The NUXE R&D team invented vegan⁽²⁾,moisturising by concentrating a novel combination of botanical milks in ultra-gourmand textures. An intense thirst-quenching action, an evocative name, a divine Orange Blossom scent : all of the ingredients come together to win over NUXE-addicts, whose numbers continue to grow year after year. This perfect blend of effectiveness and pleasure is the brand's signature.

2002

nuxe spa

Aliza Jabès sought to extend the NUXE experience to a warm and intimate setting. It took shape when she fell in love with an old 17th century wine storehouse in the heart of Paris: after a year's work, the Spa NUXE Montorgueil opened its doors. This exceptionally chic and natural wellness space embodies the ultimate NUXE experience, a holistic journey that invites guests to relax and let go. Today, more than sixty NUXE Spas have opened around the world, in exclusive and unique locations.

2005

Nuxuriance

The laboratory confirms its excellence in facial care with this global anti-ageing innovation based on patented plant ingredients. It offers demanding women proven effectiveness on skin density and blemishes. In 2024, the range became Nuxuriance Ultra Alfa [3R], incorporating a technology more effective than retinol ⁽⁷⁾ on 3 actions on the skin. The ultimate in anti-ageing.

2006

Merveillance

NUXE Research identified the effectiveness of Mimosa seeds in an anti-wrinkle product, a patented innovation that led to the creation of Merveillance. Over the next 15 years, the range continued to reinvent wrinkle correction. In 2021, NUXE introduced Merveillance LIFT, a skincare product infused with micro-algae oil.
Produced by green extraction, this oil concentrates the power of 4 billion native cells in each drop.

2012

Prodigieux® le parfum

Over the years, thousands of women have fallen in love
with the unique fragrance of Huile Prodigieuse®. NUXE decided to translate its sunny, sensual notes into an eau de parfum. Designed by the nose Serge Majoullier, like the fragrance of the original Huile Prodigieuse®, Prodigieux® le parfum has made a name for itself in the world of pharmacies, amongst women who have made its addictive notes their own.

2013

NUXE Sun

The NUXE laboratory entered the suncare market, demonstrating that protective products can also be glamorous. NUXE Sun stands out with its addictive textures and spellbinding fragrance. The sun oils are a sensation, as is the after-sun lotion: they are the top products in their categories⁽⁸⁾ in French pharmacies. Eau Délicieuse NUXE Sun is also the best-selling fragrance in pharmacies ⁽⁹⁾ in France.

2021

Super Serum [10]

This universal anti-ageing concentrate is a gem of innovation that combines the expertise of NUXE Research with anti-ageing and plant oils. This powerful concentrate is the result of cutting-edge technology, 100% of natural origin, and the microfluidic encapsulation of Fractionated Plant Oils. Through this process, oils are encapsulated in the form of micro-spheres and carefully infused one by one into an exceptional formula with Natural Hyaluronic Acid. It is now the best-selling (₁₀) microfluidic serum in pharmacies.

2023

Hair Prodigieux®

NUXE launched its first hair care collection, featuring a major formulation innovation: Fermented Pink Camellia Oil. It derives from a unique fermentation process that galvanises its repairing and nourishing powers on the hair.Vegan2, silicone-free and sulphate-free(₁₁), these products are formulated to respect the hair, enveloping it in a unique sensorial touch.
